Country Dining Rooms

The open floor plan in this dining room provides guests with dramatic views of the staircase, living room and lawn. Over-scaled seating and rustic fixtures complement the solid wood farmhouse table. Photo by Dick Spingate.

The warm butter-glazed walls and green ceiling are a serene backdrop to the French country pine furnishings. Soft, sheer window treatments allow diffused light to flood the room.

Bold and cheery French Provincial print wallpaper makes every day a party in this fanciful country kitchen. An antique clock and decorative relics happily coexist with a bargain hooked rug and ethnic chair cushions.

This garden-inspired breakfast room echoes the view beyond.

This client wanted maximum seating for meals in a relatively small dining room. Striping the walls added sophistication; muslin slipcovers gave the room a casual feeling. The wall-to-wall down bench is a great place to read or take a nap during the day.
